Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage is encouraging residents to support local culture and the national museums of the Royal Navy by visiting the Royal Naval Submarine Museum and Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower to celebrate Museum Shop Sunday.
Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Museum Shop Sunday on November 25th was created to support local museums and promote independent business and employers instead of online giants. Led by the Association for Cultural Enterprises the campaign encourages consumers to 'shop unique' to find the perfect Christmas gift.
Over 1000 cultural shops are taking part all over the world, including the two of the National Museums of the Royal Navy in Gosport.
"I am very proud of the naval museums in the constituency which highlight the legacy of the Royal Navy in the local area and provide educational fun for the whole family. The naval museums are great local employers with their independent cafes and shops. I highly recommend a visit to get a unique gift for this coming Christmas and support our local culture and heritage."
