Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage has been appointed one of twelve Small Business Ambassadors by the Prime Minister, as the Government launched a new campaign to support small business at a Downing Street reception yesterday.
As the south's representative, Caroline is tasked with promoting and representing small businesses across the region and brings to the position over twenty years experience as a business owner, as well as her work in regenerating the economic fortunes of the Gosport peninsula.
Speaking after the announcement, Caroline said:
"I'm delighted to be appointed a Small Business Ambassador and look forward to working with business organisations across our region to deliver a better future.
I will always speak up for small business and work hard to help our hugely talented entrepreneurs, so that they can flourish into the successes I know they can be."
A strong supporter of small and medium-sized enterprises, Caroline's appointment reflects her ongoing commitment to promoting the Gosport peninsula as an excellent place to do business. Caroline has built up a strong track record of supporting enterprise and innovation across Hampshire, playing a key role in the creation of the £25m Solent Enterprise Zone, Regional Growth Fund investment and she continues working hard to secure jobs and investment for the region.
