Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage is calling on business leaders to 'get mentoring'.
The local MP has backed Government plans to provide thousands of mentors to the small, medium and micro business community. The 'Get Mentoring' scheme aims to recruit top business men and women to mentor at the smaller businesses in their area.
The scheme is set to train 15,000 volunteer mentors, with 3,000 already signed up. Caroline's now calling on Gosport's business owners and entrepreneurs to get involved. She said:
"I know that many local start-up businesses would benefit greatly from the support and advice of people who have actually faced – and overcome – similar challenges in the past. This mentoring scheme is a fantastic opportunity for local entrepreneurs who have 'been there and done it' to help support budding business-people in our community, and with all the necessary training provided"
Business owners and entrepreneurs who are interested in volunteering should visit www.getmentoring.org for more information.
