Local MP, Caroline Dinenage, has today encouraged local organisations to take advantage of £40 million Government funding to create jobs in the Gosport constituency.
The Government's Coastal Communities Fund has opened its fifth round of funding which will run until the 30th April.
Since 2012 the Fund has helped create 5500 new jobs. In 2015 the Coastal Community Fund awarded £359, 424 for the Solent Way Coastal Path which runs from Lee-On-The-Solent, past Fort Gilkicker to Haslar Marina.
Commenting Caroline said: "The Coastal Communities Fund has been a fantastic opportunity for many coastal areas across the country.
I want Gosport, Lee-On-The-Solent, Stubbington and Hill Head to benefit from this funding and I would encourage Councils, local employers and groups to apply."
