Local MP, Caroline Dinenage, visited Wave 105 Mission Christmas' Warehouse this morning.
Mission Christmas collects new and unwrapped gifts suitable for children and young people aged 0-18 years so that every local child can receive a present on Christmas Day!
They have received lots of donations so far but are in need of more gifts in the final week, specifically for under 3's and teenagers. You can donate a gift locally at Sainsbury's, Auto Tyre Centre in Dock Road or Donnelly and Elliott in Stoke Road. The last day to donate is Sunday 17 December.
Caroline also met a number of volunteers from local businesses, such as Specsavers, who generously let their staff have time off to help this great cause.
Commenting Caroline said:
"It was good to meet with Wave 105 Mission Christmas staff & volunteers to hear about the fantastic work they are doing.
They have received thousands of donations from generous people but are having a final push to ensure that every child receives at least one present on Christmas Day."
