Local MP, Caroline Dinenage, is championing apprentices this week to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2020.
Caroline will be inviting local organisations and businesses who run apprenticeships to take over her Facebook and Instagram stories. This gives fantastic apprentices in the Gosport constituency an opportunity to showcase the fantastic work they do.
The theme of NA Week this year is ‘Look Beyond’ – encouraging everyone to see past the outdated myths and stereotypes surrounding apprenticeships; and to change mindsets so that employers and individuals really understand the positive impact and benefits that apprenticeships can ignite.
During NAW2019, there were over 1250 events across England.

‘I am absolutely delighted to be celebrating National Apprenticeship Week once again!
The theme this year is ‘Look Beyond’ which is about challenging some of the stereotypes we might think about what it is to be an apprentice and to take part in an apprenticeship.
As a local MP I’ve been lucky enough to have seen the incredible variety of roles that are on offer as apprenticeships. In fact, since 2010 we have had over 1,800 apprenticeships each year in the Gosport constituency – there are loads of different opportunities!
But, just don’t take it from me. I’ve passed over control of my social media this week to a whole range of companies and individuals who are going to tell you what it’s like to do apprenticeships in their business…so watch this space!’
