Local MP, Caroline Dinenage, is hosting two free Online Digital Skills Workshops, one for businesses looking to set up and grow their digital retail business on eBay and one for existing eBay users.
The event, which is being co-hosted by eBay, will include information on how to get started and to make the most of an eBay shop, optimising eBay listings to maximise sales, managing customers in an e-commerce environment and tips on shipping and logistics.
Commenting Caroline said:
“This has been a very difficult year and many small businesses were asked to close their doors temporarily to stop the spread of COVID-19. This, coupled with changing consumer behaviour and unsettled economic circumstances, has meant that local businesses have branched out and shifted their business to online sales.
“I hope these free workshops will equip local businesses with the tools and knowledge they need to sell successfully on eBay!”
Rob Hattrell, Senior Vice President and Head of eBay Europe said:
“We know that the Covid-19 pandemic has reshaped the way businesses of all shapes and sizes operate. For small businesses up and down the country, the ability to continue trading online has been a lifeline, with investment in digital skills vital to them ‘building back better’.
And in a post-Brexit world, it’s even more important that we equip small businesses with the tools they need to reach new markets overseas.”
The first free event for those new to eBay takes place on Friday 6th November, 9am to 1pm and businesses can sign up at https://bit.ly/355zvRa.
