Gosport MP, Caroline Dinenage, has kickstarted National Apprenticeship Week 2021 with a campaign that celebrates our local apprentices and their providers.
National Apprenticeship Week 2021 will run from 8th-14th February.
Caroline’s campaign has been well received by local providers in the public and private sector. Each day next week, a local organisation will use Caroline’s social media as a platform to discuss the challenges of the past year, and how apprentices and their providers have overcome these obstacles.
Caroline ran a similar campaign in 2020 with local apprentices from a variety of backgrounds and across a range of sectors, offering them the chance to host a social media takeover of her Facebook and Instagram stories. Last year, over 900 events took place across England.
This year, videos will focus more on the difficult year behind us, and how local apprentices are planning to use their unique experiences in the future.
Caroline will conclude the week by hosting a roundtable with those apprentices and providers who took part in this campaign to thank them and hear of any further concerns they might have.
Commenting, Caroline said:
‘I am absolutely delighted again to be able to showcase our fantastic local apprentices and their providers.
This has been a year with unrivalled difficulties for so many but our FE sector is one of our most resilient and it’s amazing to hear how challenges have been turned into opportunities by our local apprentices.’
