Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage visited the local Jobcentre Plus on Friday.
She met the District Manager for Hampshire & the Isle of Wight, Debby Gill, to discuss what the Government is doing to tackle unemployment in the area. The visit was part of the local MP's ongoing commitment to supporting constituents who are looking for work.
Caroline sat in on a client interview to see the help the centre offers first-hand, as well as holding lengthy discussions with the clients and staff at the Walpole Road centre.
Speaking after the visit, Caroline said:
"The Jobcentre Plus plays an essential role in helping people back into work. As the local MP, I greatly welcomed this opportunity to visit the centre, to see their vital work for myself, and to better understand the challenges that the clients and staff currently face."
