Local MP Caroline Dinenage visited Ravens Hall Veterans Group in Gosport this week to meet members and see the support provided in action.
Ravens Hall is a private group for veteran and serving members of the armed forces. It aims to provide a forum for discussion while also offering professional help and advice. The group, which started in September 2021, meet every Monday between 19:45 and 21:45 and welcome all Veterans and Armed Services personnel.
The session that Caroline attended also included an external speaker from All Call Signs, the peer support network for veterans, serving military personnel and their families.
Commenting, Caroline said:
“We are so lucky that Gosport has a number of Veterans services and groups like Ravens Hall, who can offer invaluable back-up to those who need a little extra support.”
“Too many of our veterans, service personnel and forces families are struggling on their own and feel they have nowhere to turn. So it’s welcome news that the support network in Gosport and the wider area have grown so much in recent years .”
