Last week, a new consultation on future flexi-job apprenticeships was welcomed by Gosport MP, Caroline Dinenage, who is encouraging constituents to take part.
Caroline has championed apprenticeship opportunities across the local area, from getting Skills Ministers and Secretary of States to visit CETC at Fareham College to getting local apprentices from BAE Systems, Gosport Borough Council, Fareham College and HMS Sultan to take over her social media account for National Apprenticeship Week.
The consultation that has been launched will ask for views on the how new flexi-job apprenticeship schemes could be run, enabling apprentices to work on a range of projects with different employers to get the most out of opportunities available and develop a range of skills.
Caroline commented:
“Having spoken to local apprentices and provides over the years, I know that these schemes offer a fantastic opportunity for the next generation to build the skills and confidence they need to take for successful careers.
“I would encourage everyone to have their say on proposals for a flexi-job scheme.”

“Our flexi-job apprenticeships will boost opportunities in sectors like the creative industries where employment is often flexible or short term - creating even more chances for people to experience the life changing opportunity an apprenticeship can bring as we build back better from the pandemic.”
Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak said:
“We know apprenticeships work - which is why they’re a central plank of our Plan for Jobs.
“The new flexi-job scheme will create more opportunities for apprentices across England, giving them the hope, skills and experience to progress their career and drive our recovery from the pandemic.”
