Local MP Caroline Dinenage has welcomed the launch of a major initiative to promote new businesses.
The new partnership between Government and private enterprise asks all budding entrepreneurs 'what's the business in you?'. The campaign website provides the inspiration, support and guidance to help uncover the entrepreneurial spark in everyone.
The campaign, launched by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and existing industry leaders, calls on future business owners to visit http://businessinyou.bis.gov.uk/ to find out more about the resources available to start a business. It also showcases the very best in British entrepreneurship, with case studies of thriving new businesses that are making it big despite the economic climate.
Following the launch earlier this week, Caroline said:
"Small businesses are the lifeblood of the British economy, and I welcome this move to unleash the entrepreneurial potential in everyone. As I small business owner myself, I know that however rewarding the experience is, the obstacles to getting started are daunting. This new campaign provides the support and guidance to ensure the entrepreneurial dreams that so many of us foster can become a reality".
Major business representatives, such as the British Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Business have backed the 'Business in You' campaign, which has also drawn specific offers of support from companies such as Yell and Ernst and Young.
