“Crime is always a hot topic in the Gosport Constituency - but even more so lately. I hope that this event will offer my constituents the opportunity to engage with the many organisations involved in keeping us all safe.” Caroline Dinenage
Gosport MP, Caroline Dinenage, is hosting a Crime and Policing Event to enable local residents to learn more about what steps are being taken to to reduce crime levels and increase public safety in our area.
This free event takes place on Saturday 7 September at Thorngate Halls in Gosport from 10am to 12pm. Representatives from; Hampshire Constabulary, Gosport Community Safety Partnership, Gosport Borough Council Streetscene, Hampshire Fire and Rescue, Motiv8 and many more organisations will be in attendance.
The event is open to everyone and people can drop in at any time to speak to the organisations at the event, no booking is required.
Speaking ahead of the event, Caroline said:
“Constituents regularly contact me regarding a whole range of crime and policing issues. That’s why I came up with the idea of a big, one stop shop for local people to share their thoughts and concerns directly with the relevant organisations.
It’s a huge achievement to get representatives from all these different organisations in one place at the same time. This will be a unique opportunity for my constituents to speak those who are there to keep us safe. ”
Kirsty Robertson, Gosport and Fareham Services Manager, Motiv8 said:
“Motiv8 are delighted to be invited to the Crime and Policing Event. The event will give us the opportunity to showcase the positive work that is undertaken to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the Gosport community.”
