Local MP, Caroline Dinenage met with her local Gosport Citizens Advice team this week but in the slightly more unusual setting of Parliament!
Having had a tour of the Palace of Westminster, the House of Commons and the House of Lords, Caroline met up with staff and volunteers from Citizens Advice to thank them for all the hard work and discuss the biggest local issues that they and their clients are currently facing.
One of the forthcoming challenges facing the Team will be the roll out of Universal Credit which comes to Gosport in November and the steps they are taking to make this transition process as smooth as possible.
After the meeting Caroline commented:
"Throughout my time as an MP I've appreciated how Citizens Advice Gosport are such a vital asset to the local community. Over the years updates from the team have given me an invaluable insight into local issues that are most troubling my Constituents. It was a delight to welcome them all to Parliament and I look forward to our future work together."
