Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage will welcome business woman, Karren Brady to her constituency on Thursday when she joins local business owners for an entrepreneurship event at Bay House School.
In collaboration with Bay House, Caroline has organised an entrepreneurship workshop for students with a keen interest in business. In small groups, they will be asked to come up with a business idea before pitching their proposals to a panel made up of Caroline, Karren and local entrepreneurs.
Speaking ahead of the visit, Caroline said:
"It is really exciting to have such a well-known and successful business woman come to Gosport and I am delighted that Karren will be meeting budding entrepreneurs from Bay House School.
Engaging young people with business from an early age is essential to fostering enthusiasm for entrepreneurialism and I am confident that having heard from Karren, Bay House students will be inspired to follow in her footsteps and forge a career in business."
Having built up a strong reputation as the managing director of Birmingham City FC, Karren is currently the vice-chairman of West Ham United and also works as an advisor to Lord Sugar on The Apprentice.
She is visiting Gosport as part of her role as the Conservative Party's Small Business Ambassador. As Small Business Ambassador for the South, Caroline has been working with Karren and a group of MPs to promote the interests of small enterprises across the country.
