Local MP Caroline Dinenage today participated in the Gosport Marine Scene's 'Grown in Gosport' networking event, which brought together representatives from across the local maritime industry.
The event enabled some of Gosport's successful entrepreneurs to share their experiences of running a business in the area, whilst representatives from organisations including the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and Gosport Borough Council offered advice on how to access helpful business support.
Speaking after the event, Caroline said:
"Networking events such as the one held today are vital in forging strong inter-company links which can really secure the future prosperity of Gosport's flourishing marine industry.
It is always a pleasure to be able to talk about why Gosport is such a great place to do business and with the sun shining on Gosport today; it is easy to see why our marinas are so popular with sailors from across the UK and abroad!"
Since her election, Caroline has worked hard to promote Gosport as a world-class marine and sailing destination. She was instrumental in the formation of the Gosport Marine Scene group in 2012.
