MP Caroline Dinenage is calling on local residents to take action on litter.
She's supporting Lee-on-the-Solent litteraction in their crusade against the single use of plastic bags. Caroline's urging local residents to go along to their film and presentation evening to learn about how to say 'no' to plastic bags.
The film and presentation evening will be held on Tuesday 10th April at 7.30pm at the Lee-on-the-Solent Community Centre. The event is free and open to all.
Speaking before the event, Caroline said:
"The news that plastic bag use rose last year to a worrying 6.8 billion shows that more needs to be done to tackle this blight on our local and global environment. I calling on local residents to go along to the litteraction event to learn how to say 'no' to unnecessary single use bags, for the benefit of our community and our planet."
