Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage is urging road users to participate in a consultation on the proposed infrastructural developments to help ease local traffic congestion.
The proposals include improvements to the northern section of Newgate Lane and the western access to Gosport. Initial ideas for a Stubbington bypass are also presented, with three routes currently being under consideration.
Speaking ahead of the consultation, Caroline said:
"Solving Gosport's access problems is absolutely vital to the area's future. Having fought for improvements since my election, I'm delighted we are now at the stage where we can reveal the plans to the public and ask for their feedback.
I would really recommend people who use the roads into Gosport on a regular basis take the time to have a look at the plans as their thoughts are so important to the progression of this project."
The consultation begins today (8 July) and runs until 9 September.
Consultation drop-in sessions to discuss the proposals will be held at:
- Monday 8 July: Titchfield Community Centre, 2pm to 8pm
- Tuesday 9 July: Lee-on-the-Solent Community Centre, 2pm to 8pm
