Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage showed her support for our local pub industry this week, as she put in a shift at The Three Tuns to celebrate Community Pubs Month.
In keeping with her pledge to go right into the heart of the local community, Caroline's time at the pub reaffirmed her support for the British Pub sector and followed a similar visit to the Village Home last year.
Speaking after her shift, Caroline said:
"I really enjoyed my stint at The Three Tuns; it's a great local pub right at the heart of our community and I'm grateful to Mark Nixon for showing me the ropes and making sure I was up to scratch and ready to serve customers.
My time at the pub allowed me to chat to constituents about their concerns in a relaxed and informal environment, and it was really useful to gain first-hand experience of the pressures and challenges that our pubs are facing."
As part of the Community Pubs Month, the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is calling on people to step up and #ListYourLocal. This visit was Caroline's second stint behind the bar and follows her work to support local pubs and prevent closures.
