Local MP Caroline Dinenage has urged Gosport businesses to apply to the £2.1 million Bridging the Gap fund before next week's deadline.
Round 1 of the £2.1 million fund for budding entrepreneurs and existing businesses will close on the 31st July. The fund, which is the result of a successful Regional Growth Fund bid, is set to make grants of between £5,000 and £50,000 to applicants across Gosport, Portsmouth and Havant.
Speaking about the fund, Caroline said:
"With just 6 days to go before the deadline for Round 1 applications, I'm calling on all local SMEs and potential entrepreneurs to get their bids in. With the criteria open to all business ideas, you really have nothing to lose, and the grants of between £5,000 to £50,000 could be the boost that turns your business dreams into a reality".
Applicants are encouraged to visit http://www.solentlep.org.uk/regional_growth_fund for information about the fund and the application process, which is being overseen by the Solent LEP.
