Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage welcomed A-level students from Bay House School to Parliament today.
After enjoying a tour of the Palace of Westminster, the twenty seven strong group of politics students had the chance to grill their MP during a lively Q and A session more akin to Paxman than Parliament! Caroline was quizzed on a vast array of topics including the Falkland Islands, Quangos and the Daedalus Enterprise Zone.
Caroline said:
"It was fantastic to see some familiar faces from Bay House School when they came up to visit. These trips provide a great opportunity to see the important work that takes place here, and gives them the chance to interact with their local MP in an informal setting. I've faced some tough questions in the past from school groups and expected no less from Bay House!"
The school's trip to Westminster was run by the Parliamentary Education Service, which facilitates educational trips on the history and role of Parliament. Caroline's support for the visit reflects her long-running involvement with local schools, which has seen her visit all 41 schools in the constituency since becoming an MP.
