Caroline kicks off Great British Beach Clean

"As an MP for a coastal constituency I see for myself on a daily basis the devastating impact of plastics in our oceans and on our beaches" Caroline Dinenage MP.

Local MP, Caroline Dinenage, in conjunction with the Marine Conservation Society has organised a Beach Clean to kick off the Great British Beach Clean!

The Beach Clean takes place at Stokes Bay on Friday 14 September between 11am and 1pm.

Commenting Caroline said:

"Unless we take urgent action, there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish by 2050. We live in a fantastic coastal location and have a responsibility to take better care of it.

I am really pleased that over 120 volunteers have signed up so far to take part in this Beach Clean and I am glad to lend my support to such an important initiative."
