Local MP, Caroline Dinenage, has today marked the end of National Apprenticeship Week 2020 with a visit to a local apprenticeship provider in Gosport.
Caroline visited Pauper to King Barber Shop on Forton Road, where she met owner Mike Baker and interviewed award-winning local apprentice Chris and new apprentice Riley (pictured).
This year, Caroline celebrated National Apprenticeship Week by inviting local apprentice providers to take over her Instagram and Facebook stories – allowing them to showcase their skills and talents to her followers across different platforms for one day.
Pauper and King originally reached out to Caroline after hearing about the initiative on her social media.
Caroline said:
‘It is wonderful to conclude National Apprenticeship Week 2020 with a visit to Pauper and King. It is clear from Mike and from Chris and Riley that apprentices bring so much to the business, and in return are provided with extensive training in a fast-paced, on-the-job environment.
Big thanks to everyone who contributed throughout the week. It has been a great success and the content uploaded will be staying on my Instagram profile for the foreseeable future. My special thanks to Kiwi Education, Blackball Media and of course Fareham College for their excellent content!
National Apprenticeship Week showcases the very best of skills education here in the Gosport constituency and across the country, and it has been wonderful to celebrate it again!"
