Local MP, Caroline Dinenage, is encouraging local businesses to apply for the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise looks to identify and encourage businesses of any size, and in any sector, for their work in:
- Innovation
- International trade
- Sustainable development
- Promoting opportunity through social mobility
In the 2020 Award’s, 220 UK businesses were recognised for their contribution in the above categories. 9 of those businesses were based in Hampshire.
Businesses are awarded with global recognition of their brand which is likely to see an increase in their sales and growth – 73% of winners in the International Trade category directly attributed increased sales to the award.
Winners are also allowed to use the recognised Royal Emblem, attend a Royal reception and will get the award presented by Lord Lieutenant at their own premises.
You can apply for free, and in more than one category. All applications must be made online by 9th September 2020.
Caroline, a business owner for 20 years, has taken an active role in business support and enterprise during her decade as Gosport’s MP. Caroline commented:
“This award is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to get their innovative work in businesses royally recognised!
“It is great to see so many in Hampshire recognised in the last awards, but I would love to see our Gosport enterprises identified for the incredible work that they do in the constituency and beyond.
“It has the potential to not only boost staff morale, but help establish international links and expanded opportunities. I encourage everyone eligible to apply!”
