Local MP, Caroline Dinenage, is encouraging residents to make their views known about plans to build 420 Newgate Lane East.
Caroline has consistently opposed a number of previous developments which threaten the strategic gap via objections to Fareham Borough Council, the Planning Inspectorate and asking the Secretary of State to ‘call in’ planning applications.
Now, a pre-application public consultation has been launched by Miller Homes and Bargate Homes with proposals to build 420 homes on the strategic gap between Gosport and Stubbington.
Commenting, Caroline said:
“I have long campaigned against house building in the strategic gap and this consultation will be no different.
I will be making my views known that I strongly oppose these plans and would encourage all residents to make their views known.”
Residents can take part at http://newgate-lane-east-development.co.uk/ before 22 November.
