Local MP Caroline Dinenage has today congratulated Gosport groups who have had successful applications for grants.
14 Gosport based groups have been allocated £438, 359 from the Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner's Safer Communities Fund.
The fund aims to support groups keeping people safe and protect the most vulnerable within our communities.
The grants include £19,000 to Motiv8 and £7,700 to Gosport Community Safety Partnership.
Welcoming the news Caroline commented: "We have a vibrant voluntary sector doing fantastic work in our local community.
This money will help more charities continue doing this good work and congratulations to all those that were successful."
