Caroline Dinenage MP has welcomed the Minister for Local Growth's commitment to delivering the Stubbington Bypass 'at pace'.
Andrew Percy MP, a Minister within the Department for Communities and Local Government, has emphasised his belief that the Stubbington Bypass is a vital local development which will deliver real and much needed benefits for Gosport residents. The development will alleviate congestion and transform the connectivity of the Solent Enterprise Zone, as well as the wider Fareham and Gosport peninsula. The Minister has emphasised the importance of Caroline's continued advocacy for the Bypass in securing government investment.
The scheme is supported by the third round of Local Growth Funding. The latest £31.02 million allocation is part of a combined Local Growth Fund package of £182.92 million for the Solent region.
Commenting, Caroline said 'Having campaigned for investment in this project since I was first elected, it is vital that we maintain momentum. It is fantastic that the Government is committed to driving progress forward, and if re-elected I will continue working hard to ensure that efficient delivery enables residents to benefit from this important development without delay.'
