Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage last week met international delegates who were visiting Bay House School for a conference to discuss findings in the field of educational leadership research.
The International School Leadership Development Network is made up of over thirty education researchers and practitioners from as far as Nepal and New Zealand. The head teacher at Bay House, Ian Potter is one of the researching professionals making up the network and last week's conference at the school follows on from the first event which took place in Atlanta in 2014.
During a visit to Bay House to talk to Sixth Form politics students, Caroline took the opportunity to meet the delegates.
Speaking afterwards, Caroline said:
"It is great that Bay House School was chosen to host a conference of this pioneering network of education professionals. The event puts our area on the international map and recognises the excellent work that is going on in local schools."
Ian Potter commented:
"Having these well-known names, who are renowned in the educational research world, coming to Gosport to be part of a three day symposium is something the town should feel very proud of."
The delegates also visited Brune Park School and were treated to a traditional British meal cooked by Bay House students.
