Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage today called on local people to back her efforts to secure English Votes for English Laws in the House of Commons. As a Patron of the Fair Votes for All campaign Caroline has launched a petition calling on the Government to introduce English Votes as soon as possible. The petition can be signed online here.
Commenting Caroline said, "This is a basic matter of fairness for people in Gosport. Scottish MPs should not continue to determine the laws on issues; such as education and health; that do not affect their constituents. With even more powers set to be devolved to Scotland I would urge as many people as possible to sign my petition and show the Government that people in England want their voices heard."
