Food Banks
Fareham & Gosport Basics Bank is run by Friends of the Homeless in Fareham & Gosport.
They operate a referral system through a variety of agencies; there are more than 80 such agencies in Fareham and Gosport. If you need food support, a good way to get a referral is through Citizens Advice in Fareham or Gosport.

Food Pantries
Food pantries are a scheme that requires a membership and for a small fee allows members of the public to carry out a weekly shop with dignity. The scheme uses food that would otherwise be going to waste.
Gosport Borough Football Club run the Gosport Community Pantry where families in need can get £15 worth of food for just £5. The community pantry is open 10am-2pm on Wednesdays and 9am-1pm on Fridays.

The Trash Café Real Junk Food Project
The Trash Café Real Junk Food Project works with food businesses to reduce waste by redistributing food items which would otherwise go to waste. Pay as you feel for meals and groceries means everyone chooses what they pay, which could be in volunteering time, cash or skills.

Food Hampers are available for delivery to PO post codes on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for a small fee which could help with significantly reducing food bills.
